Frequently Asked Questions
What is URL encoding?
URLs can only be sent over the Internet using the ASCII character set. URL encoding converts non-ASCII and special characters into a valid ASCII format, typically replacing unsafe characters with a '%' followed by two hexadecimal digits.
When should I use "Process entire URL"?
Use it when you are encoding a full URL link. It will ignore characters that are valid in a URL like ':', '/', '?', '&', and '='. If you are only encoding a specific parameter value, leave it unchecked.
